Our annual 5k fun run started in 2018, with over 400 racers through the years. We’ve held the event at The Ocean Course at Hokuala, virtually, and on the Kapa’a bike path at Lydgate Beach Park. 

Proceeds from this race go towards equipment that supports our adult and youth programs and helps us fulfill our mission of encouraging athletic endeavors based on Hawaiian traditions of Aloha, Hō’ihi (respect), and Ikaika Kākāuha (Athletic Strength). 

We aim to provide a healthy opportunity for residents and visitors to compete in an athletic event within the beautiful environment surrounding Wailua bay. This event raises funds and participation for the Pu’uwai canoe club and keiki program, as well as brings residents and visitors together in a meaningful and enriching way while promoting a healthy lifestyle. 

We’ve received support from many community groups and businesses over the years, including Punzal Vision, Kauai Athletic Club, Fantasy Shirts, Joule Group, Eddie Pratt, Kauai Sports Massage, Rainforest Spa, Kauai SUP, Kulture Tattoo Kollective and Haole Girl Sweets.
